(57) [Problem] To provide an acylating agent capable of directly and easily introducing an acyl group into an unactivated carbon atom. SOLUTION: The acylating agent comprises (A) a 1,2-dicarbonyl compound or a hydroxy reduced product thereof, (B) oxygen, (C) a (c1) metal compound and (C2) N-hydroxyphthalimide. And at least one compound selected from imide compounds. As a 1,2-dicarbonyl compound or its hydroxy reduced product (A), Biacetyl, 2,3-butanediol and the like can be used. As the metal compound (c1), a cobalt compound such as cobalt acetate can be used. By causing the acylating agent to act on a compound having a methine carbon atom such as an adamantane derivative, an acyl group can be efficiently introduced into the methine carbon atom. |
