titleOfInvention | Binder composition and method for producing molded article using the same |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To solve the problems of simultaneous molding such as rapid curing molding, improvement of working environment, reduction of casting defects, etc. in a molding method by a carbon dioxide gas curing method. SOLUTION: An alkali metal hydroxide and a chelating agent which forms a stable complex with the resin are added to a novolak type phenol resin obtained by reacting a phenol and a formaldehyde using an acidic catalyst. A binder composition, wherein the alkali metal hydroxide is potassium hydroxide, Alternatively, a mixture of potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide is preferable, and the chelating agent is preferably provided by sodium borate, potassium borate, or ammonium borate. |
