Transgenic or chimeric animals produced by genomic site-specific insertion of foreign genes |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transgenic animal into which a foreign gene has been site-specifically incorporated. SOLUTION: The method according to the present invention provides an E. coli having a foreign gene site-specifically incorporated therein. S. By injecting cells into embryos and generating individuals, it is possible to produce transgenic animals that do not affect endogenous genes. In addition, by inserting a foreign gene after a specific promoter, it is possible to produce a transgenic animal in which an endogenous gene under the control of the promoter is intentionally inactivated. |
