abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To enable a main body of a car audio system to be started from a peripheral device with simple wiring. SOLUTION: In a USB device 501, a detection unit 51 is provided. 2 detects that a predetermined condition has been met. The activation signal transmission unit 514 transmits an activation signal to the main unit 1 when it is detected that the condition is satisfied. In the main unit 1, the activation signal receiving section 184 detects the activation signal. The power control unit 183 turns on the power of the main unit 1 when the start signal is detected. When the power is turned on based on the activation signal, the inquiry unit 185 inquires each device whether or not the activation signal has been transmitted. The answer unit 515 of the USB device 501 answers the inquiry.
