Embedded image Wherein R is a straight-chain alkyl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, X and Y are both hydrogen atoms or one is a hydrogen atom and the other is a fluorine atom, m is 1 or 2, n is 1, and C * is asymmetric. (Effect) Shows ferrielectric phase over a wide temperature range, In addition, a ferrielectric liquid crystal compound having a small spontaneous polarization was obtained.
