titleOfInvention | Photothermographic material |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a photothermographic material having high sensitivity at the time of exposure and high image density. Kind Code: A1 A photothermographic material comprising a photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder and formed on a support, wherein the organic silver salt is tabular grains having an aspect ratio of 3 or more. A photothermographic material characterized in that it is oriented along the support surface, and preferably corresponds to each flat organic silver salt particle obtained by thinning an electron microscope image of a cross section of the flat organic silver salt particle. The average value of the angle between the line segment and the direction perpendicular to the support is 80 to 100 degrees, and the degree of orientation given by the following equation is 85% or less. Degree of orientation = (standard deviation of the angle between each line segment and the direction perpendicular to the support) / (average value of the angle between each line segment and the direction perpendicular to the support) × 100 |
