PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a diamine from a dialdehyde, which suppresses catalyst deterioration and obtains the diamine in a high yield. SOLUTION: A solution obtained by dissolving a dialdehyde in a solvent is supplied to a reactor in which a hydrogenation catalyst, a solvent, ammonia and hydrogen are present, and the dialdehyde is reductively aminated to produce a corresponding diamine. In the method, an alcohol solvent is used as the solvent, and the water concentration in the reaction solution is 5 to 5. The reaction is carried out in a range of 15% by weight. |
