SOLUTION: An alcohol solution or a mixed solution of alcohol / water of a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is formed into a strand, and the strand obtained by cutting the strand is dried in at least two steps. Drying is performed. In the first drying, the velocity of the heating gas passing through the pellet surface is set to 1.0 to 10 m / sec, and in the second drying, the velocity of the heating gas passing through the pellet surface is set to 1.
