abstract (57) [Summary] (1) The following general formula (1): [Wherein, R 1 and R 2 represent an alkyl group, R 3 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group, R 4 represents a hydrogen atom or an aryl group, and * represents the position of an asymmetric carbon.] Optically active 4,5-diphenyl-1, represented by 3-Dialkyl-2- (2-hydroxyethyl) iminoimidazolidine derivatives. [Effect] When used as an asymmetric synthesis reagent, an optically active compound can be produced selectively and in high yield.
