abstract (57) Abstract: A hydride obtained by hydrogenating an olefinically unsaturated group-containing polymer in a wide range of viscosity range at a high hydrogenation rate or at a desired hydrogenation rate. To provide a method for continuously producing the same while maintaining the hydrogenation rate stably. A plurality of reactors for hydrogenating an olefinically unsaturated group of a polymer containing an olefinically unsaturated group are connected in series, and a first-stage reactor is a stirred reactor. And introducing a solution of the olefinically unsaturated group-containing polymer into the reactor, supplying hydrogen from a lower portion of at least one of the plurality of reactors, and removing the olefinically unsaturated polymer in each reactor. Provided is a method for continuously producing a hydrogenated olefinically unsaturated group-containing polymer, which comprises contacting a solution with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst to hydrogenate the olefinically unsaturated group.
