abstract | (57) Abstract: Provided is a compound semiconductor light emitting device in which the position of a light emitting point is stabilized and the life and characteristics of the device are improved, and a method of manufacturing the same. (1) In a compound semiconductor light emitting device in which at least a compound semiconductor layer, an initial conductive layer, and a plated conductive layer are sequentially provided on a substrate, 3σ of the thickness of the plated conductive layer is 30% or less of the average value. And (2) forming a plated conductive layer by sequentially forming at least a compound semiconductor layer and an initial conductive layer on a substrate, and then plating the current while flowing a current from the periphery of the substrate.
