titleOfInvention | Method for producing norbornene-based polymer and catalyst |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a method for producing a norbornene-based addition polymer with high activity by using a transition metal compound of Group IV of the periodic table as a catalyst. To provide a polymerization catalyst for addition (co) polymerization of a monomer or a norbornene-based monomer and a monomer copolymerizable therewith with high activity. A transition metal compound belonging to Group IV of the periodic table containing a cyclopentadienyl group having at least one polar group-containing substituent as a specific catalyst in place of a conventional norbornene-based monomer polymerization catalyst. Addition (co) polymerization of a norbornene monomer with extremely high polymerization activity using a catalyst system combining an aluminum compound. |
