PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody which specifically reacts with a glycated protein or the like, in which a specific recognition site is specified at a molecular structure level, and which is useful in clinical diagnosis, analysis and the like. . SOLUTION: A protein modified with methylglyoxal is prepared, and an antibody-producing cell obtained from a constant-temperature animal immunized with the protein obtained in the above step as an antigen is fused with a myeloma cell to form a hybrid cell. After culturing, a monoclonal antibody that specifically recognizes the methylglyoxal-modified arginine derivative is obtained from the culture. The monoclonal antibody comprises Nδ- (5 -Hydroxy-4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl) ornithine, Nδ- (5-hydro-5-methyl- 4-imidazolone-2-yl) ornithine and MA1 Reactive with. |
