abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide an advantageous method for producing a sulfonic acid ester. SOLUTION: A hydroxyl compound and a general formula (1) R—SO 2 Cl (1) (wherein, R represents a linear or branched alkyl or aryl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms. The aryl group may be substituted with an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxyl group, a nitro group, or a halogen atom.) To obtain a sulfonic acid ester compound by reacting with a sulfonyl chloride compound. A process for producing a sulfonic acid ester compound, comprising using a metal carbonate and a catalytic amount of a tertiary amine, tertiary diamine or a hydrochloride thereof. |
