(57) [Problem] To provide a resin coated sand for a mold capable of obtaining a mold having good collapsibility even in casting at a low casting temperature. SOLUTION: A resin-coated sand is prepared by coating a sand particle surface with a binder prepared by blending a phosphate ester, an oxidizing agent and a metal organic carboxylate into a phenol resin. The phenolic resin is easily decomposed by carbonization due to the action of phosphates, oxidizing agents and metal organic carboxylate incorporated in the binder, and even when casting at a low casting temperature such as aluminum casting or magnesium casting. The binder decomposes easily. |
