abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for evaluating the performance of an ion-exchange resin which can easily and accurately determine the degree of deterioration of the ion-exchange resin of a mixed-bed type desalination apparatus in a short time in the field. SOLUTION: Pure water is supplied to the regenerated ion exchange resin for cleaning, and the degree of deterioration of the ion exchange resin is determined from the measured value of TOC in the cleaning waste water.
