[PROBLEMS] To develop a method for stably producing a quaternary ammonium hydroxide aqueous solution over a long period of time. When producing a quaternary ammonium hydroxide aqueous solution by electrolysis of a quaternary ammonium halide salt, the matrix resin has a substantially unsaturated bond derived from an aliphatic hydrocarbon monomer as a matrix resin. The electrolysis is performed using an anion exchange membrane using a copolymer of a monomer unit not to be used and a monomer unit based on acrylonitrile or styrene. |
