PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint of a pipe made of a material which is liable to cause a welding crack and a method of connecting the pipes. SOLUTION: This joint portion A has a pipe end 1A, the outer diameter of which is smaller in the vicinity of the pipe end faces 1a, 2a than other places. A pair of joints A1, A2 comprising tubes 1, 2 having 2A and sleeves 4, 5 enclosing at least the tube ends and having rear ends 4b, 5b welded to the outer periphery of the tubes 1, 2 are provided. Are welded at the tip portions 4a and 5a of the sleeves 4 and 5, and the respective pipe end faces are movably engaged in the pipe axis direction. |
