abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a strong rare-earth bonded magnet which is hardly rusted and hardly cracked or chipped by heat change, and a method of manufacturing the same. A magnet material (1) in which a rare-earth magnet powder (2) made of an Nd-Fe-B-based alloy is bonded with an epoxy resin (3) as a binder is directly coated on the surface of the rare-earth magnet powder (2) located on the surface of the magnet material. A rare earth bonded magnet 8 having a plating layer 6 formed thereon. Further, the bonded magnet 8 includes a rare earth bonded magnet 9 in which a resin coating layer 7 of an epoxy resin is further formed on the surface of the Ni plating layer 6. Further, the acrylic resin 5 is impregnated into the magnet material 1, and the epoxy resin 3 covering the outer surface of the magnet powder 2 is removed by dry etching. A rare-earth bonded magnet 8 in which Ni plating is directly formed on the exposed surface of the magnet powder 2 of the obtained magnet material 1 ′ to form the Ni-plated layer 6, and a rare-earth bonded magnet in which a resin coating layer 7 is further formed thereon 9 is also included. |
