titleOfInvention Method for producing non-sintered nickel electrode for alkaline storage battery
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To easily and almost completely remove the active material at the current collecting lead attachment portion while preventing the capacity of the electrode from being reduced due to oxidation of the cobalt compound near the active material removing portion. It is an object of the present invention to improve the connection strength of a lead. The method for producing a non-sintered nickel electrode for an alkaline storage battery according to the present invention is a method for producing a non-sintered nickel electrode comprising a mixture of nickel hydroxide particles mainly composed of nickel hydroxide and metallic cobalt or cobalt compound particles. A step of preparing an electrode plate by filling the body, and a step of heating and oxidizing the current collecting lead attachment portion of the electrode plate filled with the active material such that the surface temperature is 230 ° C. or more and less than 300 ° C. A step of removing the heated and oxidized active material; and a step of connecting a current collecting lead to a portion from which the active material has been removed.
