titleOfInvention | Chemical or biological species detection device using optical fiber and remote monitoring system using the same |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To be safe, simple in configuration and easy to manufacture, Provided is a highly reliable, inexpensive, and miniaturizable species detection device. A reflection-type species detection device for detecting the presence or concentration of a chemical or biological species includes a light source (2) and a reflection film (6) at one end, and receives light emitted from the light source (2). Between the light source 2 and the sensor 4, transmitting the light reflected by the reflective film 6 in the opposite direction, causing a measurable change in the light transmission characteristics in the presence of a chemical or biological species. And a light transmitting / extracting unit 8 that transmits light from the light source 2 to be incident on the sensor 4 and outputs reflected light from the reflective film 6. The presence or the like of a seed is detected using a signal corresponding to the reflected light. |
