titleOfInvention Polycarbonate composition containing hindered amine light stabilizer and polyether
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for effectively protecting a polycarbonate compound from decomposition or discoloration due to exposure to light. SOLUTION: The weatherable polycarbonate composition (formulation or blend) contains at least one of piperazinone and piperazindione-based HALS, and a polyether-based polymer. The combination of these HALS and polyether-based polymers exhibits a synergistic effect, imparts light stability to the polycarbonate formulation, and improves the polycarbonate composition by reducing yellowing or other forms of light-induced degradation. Provided protection.
