titleOfInvention Method for depolymerizing and repolymerizing ε-caprolactam polymer
abstract (57) [Problem] In a conventional method, a phosphoric acid catalyst, an alkali metal salt, water, a special enzyme, and the like are added at the time of depolymerization of polyamide. In order to use it for repolymerization, it has to be purified by means of distillation or the like in advance so as not to inhibit the polymerization reaction or adversely affect the physical properties of the repolymerized product. Also, For purification, a complicated apparatus is used, and labor is required for purification. SOLUTION: A method for depolymerizing an ε-caprolactam polymer, which comprises bringing a finely divided ε-caprolactam polymer into sufficient contact with molten ε-caprolactam under an inert atmosphere.
