titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for manufacturing electrophotographic photosensitive member
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method of manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of obtaining a uniform and high-quality image without image defects and image density unevenness. A method of manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which an aluminum substrate is mounted on a substrate holder and a functional film made of an amorphous material containing silicon atoms as a base material is formed on the surface of the substrate by a reduced pressure vapor deposition method. In the cleaning step of cleaning the surface of the substrate before the step of forming the electrophotographic photoreceptor, the surface of the substrate is degreased and washed with a surfactant and an inhibitor, and then the substrate is vertically moved by 180 °. (4) After the substrate is inverted and transported, the substrate surface is washed with any one of pure water, water in which carbon dioxide is dissolved, water containing a specific inhibitor, or a combination of two or more kinds.
