abstract (57) [Problem] To accurately adjust the optical wavelength accuracy based on a single reference optical signal in a lightwave network in which a plurality of nodes (terminal stations) exist. SOLUTION: A reference terminal station A and five terminal stations B to E are connected by optical cables. The reference terminal station A has a reference light source generator 10 and monitors the wavelength of the optical signal transmitted from the station A by the network monitor 1 based on the reference optical signal generated by the reference light source generator 10. The reference optical signal is wavelength-multiplexed with the main signal and supplied to general terminal stations B to E. The general terminal stations B to E do not have the reference light source generator 10 in their own stations, and the network monitor 1 'monitors the wavelength of the optical signal to be transmitted based on the reference optical signal sent from the reference terminal station A station.
