titleOfInvention Polycarbonate redistribution method with catalytic decomposition
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substance which can be incorporated into a polycarbonate redistribution mixture containing a tetraorganophosphonium hydroxide catalyst and which can decompose a catalyst which has stopped functioning. SOLUTION: The redistribution of the polycarbonate composition is carried out in the presence of a tetraorganophosphonium hydroxide catalyst and a catalytically decomposed amount of a polyhydroxy aliphatic compound such as glyceryl monostearate, pentaerythritol and ethylene glycol. Decomposition of the catalyst after redistribution improves the stability of the redistributed polycarbonate composition.
