titleOfInvention Cutting method of metal materials etc. in non-flammable gas atmosphere
abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] In view of the problem of conventional machining point spraying by coolant flow or air blow, a nonflammable gas atmosphere in which a nonflammable gas such as nitrogen gas or carbon dioxide gas is blown to a cutting point of a tool. Provided is a method for cutting a metal material or the like in the inside. SOLUTION: This is a cutting method for processing a metal material or the like by using a tool mounted on a processing machine, wherein a tool cutting edge portion 5A for processing the metal material or the like or a space in the vicinity thereof is filled with nitrogen gas N2 and carbon dioxide gas CO2. The metal material W is processed as an atmosphere of the noncombustible gas G. As a result, the wear amount of the tool edge is improved, the service life of the tool is extended, and the machining accuracy can be improved.
