(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] By changing various reaction conditions such as reaction temperature, reaction time, type of raw materials, and charging ratio of raw materials, high molecular weight polyether polyesters of various molecular weights can be industrially produced as required. Provided are a method and an apparatus which can be easily and efficiently obtained in the form of useful pellets. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a high molecular weight polyether polyester by reacting a low molecular weight polyalkylene oxide having a number average molecular weight of 1,000 to 30,000 with a polyanhydride, the low molecular weight polyalkylene oxide and the polyanhydride are produced. Are mixed and stirred in a horizontal twin-screw kneading function section having deformed wings, and the resulting reaction mixture is introduced in a molten state into a single-screw or twin-screw horizontal extrusion function section.
