titleOfInvention Wastewater treatment method and wastewater treatment equipment containing sorbic acid or salt thereof
abstract (57) [Problem] To efficiently reduce the BOD of wastewater containing sorbic acid or a salt thereof. SOLUTION: Waste water containing sorbic acid or a salt thereof discharged from a sorbic acid production process or the like is subjected to membrane separation, and the obtained membrane permeate is subjected to biological treatment such as activated sludge treatment. Separation membranes used for membrane separation include nanofiltration membranes, reverse osmosis membranes, and the like. When subjecting the wastewater to membrane separation, pH May be adjusted to 7 or more (for example, about 7 to 12).
