titleOfInvention | Thermoformable thermoplastic polymer alloy composition |
abstract | (57) [Summary] A thermoplastic polymer alloy composition capable of being thermoformed. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic polymer alloy composition to be provided is polypropylene, ethylene copolymer ionomer resin, ethylene / glycidyl acrylate or glycidyl methacrylate copolymer, uncrosslinked ethylene propylene rubber, polypropylene or rubber grafted with acid or anhydride. And / or a blend containing an epoxy / acid reaction catalyst and optionally a poly-α-olefin. This composition is particularly useful for use in thermoforming products having high deep draw ratios. The presence of the poly-α-olefin helps to improve the embossing and the retention of the embossed product, especially when the deep draw ratio is increased. |
