abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article which is a thermoplastic fluorine-containing copolymer elastomer and which has excellent compression set resistance in a high temperature range of about 280 ° C. or more, and is therefore a sealing material. The present invention provides a method for producing a material which can be suitably used as a molding material of the present invention. SOLUTION: In the presence of a saturated iodine-containing compound or an iodine-containing bromine compound, at least two kinds of monomers selected from the group consisting of a fluorinated monomer and propylene are copolymerized. Tetrafluoroethylene and the general formula CF 2 = CFOCX 2 (CF 2 ) p Y (X: H, F, Y: H, F, p : A graft copolymerization reaction is carried out with the polyfluorovinyl ether represented by 0 to 3) to produce a fluorine-containing graft copolymer. In that case, an unsaturated iodine-containing compound or an unsaturated bromine-containing compound can be used together with a saturated iodine-containing compound or an iodine-containing bromine compound.
