abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for treating a dye solution which can efficiently decolor dye and dye industrial wastewater even in a low concentration range, and has a safe and stable process. A step of preparing a pair of electrodes (12, 13), a power supply (16) for applying a voltage between the electrodes, and a treatment tank (14) having a separation membrane (11) between the electrodes; A step of placing an aqueous solution of a dye in which an electrolyte is dissolved in the treatment tank (14), and applying a voltage between the electrodes to electrolyze the aqueous solution of the dye.
