abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a concentrated and dried surfactant from a high-concentration surfactant slurry without discoloration due to thermal degradation using a compact and low-cost apparatus. By using this concentrated and dried surfactant as a raw material, a high bulk density granular detergent excellent in color tone can be manufactured with a low-cost facility that is compact as a whole. SOLUTION: A slurry containing a surfactant in a high concentration is continuously supplied to a heater of a type for forming a thin film of the slurry on a heating wall surface and performing heat treatment, heated, and then introduced into a flash evaporator. A method for concentrating and drying a high-concentration surfactant slurry by removing the water in the slurry by flash evaporation to obtain a concentrated and dried product of the high-concentration surfactant slurry. The concentrated and dried product of the high-concentration surfactant slurry is granulated or mixed with other detergent components to produce a high bulk density granular detergent as detergent particles. |
