Total protein detection method |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and test device for an assay for measuring total protein in an aqueous test fluid. SOLUTION: When detecting a total protein in a test fluid using a complex of molybdate or tungstate and a dye, a pKa capable of operating at a pH of about 1.0 to 3.0 is used. Using a substituted phenol sulfone phthalein dye that has an affinity for proteins that provides a detectable response only in the presence of more than 50 mg / dL of protein. |
