abstract (57) Abstract: An antibody for selectively discriminating hexanonyl lysine, which is an index for knowing the degree of damage of a biological component having a lysine residue in a living body by lipid peroxide, and an antibody used for producing the antibody Provide an antigen. SOLUTION: A reaction of hexanoic acid, ethyl (dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide and hydroxysulfosuccinate in dimethylformamide is reacted with a protein (silica forlimpet hemocyanin) in a phosphate buffer. An antigen for use in the production of a hexanonyl lysine antibody, the antigen being produced by the reaction. A hexanonyl lysine antibody obtained by injecting an emulsion of the antigen with Freund's adjuvant into an animal for producing an antibody for immunization, and obtaining the immunized animal from serum of the immunized animal for producing the antibody.
