abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a high-luminance light-emitting element with high utilization efficiency of electric energy and improved durability. An element which emits light by electric energy, in which a substance responsible for light emission exists between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, wherein the element includes a compound having a carbazole skeleton condensed with a heterocyclic ring. In addition, it is possible to provide a highly durable element which can emit high-luminance light even under low current and low voltage.
