abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-purity mono-tertiary-malonic acid alkyl ester by a simple method using inexpensive malonic acid dimethyl ester or malonic acid diethyl ester as a raw material. SOLUTION: The method for producing a mono-tertiary-alkyl malonic acid ester includes the following five steps (1) to (5). (1) A step of transesterifying malonic acid dimethyl ester or malonic acid diethyl ester with a tertiary alkyl alcohol in the presence of a catalyst. (2) a step of hydrolyzing the ester mixture obtained in the step (1) with an aqueous alkali solution. (3) a step of extracting and removing ditertiary alkyl malonate from the alkali hydrolysis-treated product obtained in step (2) using an organic solvent. (4) a step of acid-precipitating the aqueous phase obtained in the step (3). (5) A step of extracting malonic acid mono-tertiary alkyl ester from the acid precipitate obtained in step (4) using an organic solvent. |
