titleOfInvention Breathable, fluid-impermeable barrier structures and articles made therefrom
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breathable, substantially fluid-impermeable barrier structure and a product made therefrom, such as a sanitary napkin, panty liner, incontinence product and diaper. . SOLUTION: The barrier structure has a porous layer having an opposing surface, which corresponds to the opposing surface of the porous layer, where a fluid can traverse the support. A porous support having pores extending in the middle of the opposing surfaces; and at least one of the porous support to limit fluid flow into the pores. Particles having a surface area of 1 square inch, wherein the porous layer is contained in an absorbent structure overlying the surface of the porous layer to which the particles are fused. Resists permeation of fluid when under a load of one pound per pound; and The porous layer has a Frazier breathability value ranging from above 0 to about 80 mm 3 / ft 2 / min (861 mm 3 / m 2 / min).
