abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To sterilize by utilizing a conventionally known function / phenomenon on the surface of a photocatalytic semiconductor and by applying a gas or liquid activated by a photocatalytic semiconductor, which was not known before. To provide a method for cleaning the environment such as deodorization, deodorization, and antifouling. SOLUTION: A gas or a liquid activated by a photocatalytic semiconductor is isolated from the surface of the photocatalyst, under the absence of the photocatalyst, under the condition of stopping the photocatalytic function, or under the condition isolated from the surface of the photocatalyst. It is cleaned by operating under the condition that the photocatalytic function is stopped. When an oxidizing agent is added to the gas or liquid activated by the photocatalytic semiconductor, the cleaning action is enhanced. |
