Arthrobacter sp. And its use for desulfurization of fossil fuels |
abstract |
(57) [Abstract] (Modified) [Problem] CS of sulfurated organic molecules contained in carbonaceous materials A strain that selectively cleaves bonds and a method for selectively removing organic sulfur contained in fossil fuels are provided. SOLUTION: (a) An emulsion or suspension of a fossil fuel is mixed with a microorganism Arthrobacter sp. CBS 208.96 or an enzyme derivative thereof at pH 5 to 9 and at a temperature of 20 to 40 ° C. (B) from the reaction mixture obtained in (a) with a desulfurized oil phase, an aqueous phase, and a biocatalyst combined with oil and water in an oxidizing atmosphere at a pressure from atmospheric pressure to 3 bar. A mucous phase consisting of a certain Arthrobacter sp. CBS 208.96 is separated and (c) the mucus phase is recycled to the desulfurization step (a), (d) treating the aqueous phase with anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms that are able to remove sulfate and convert it to sulfur; A process characterized in that water completely purified for sulfur is recycled to step (a). |
