(57) [Summary] When an extremely large target power is set as compared with the power output from an internal combustion engine, the operation state of the internal combustion engine is quickly changed to an operation state in which the target power is output. When an accelerator pedal (64) is depressed vigorously and a torque to be output to a drive shaft (22) sharply increases, an outer rotor (32) coupled to a crankshaft (56) and a drive shaft (2) using electric power stored in a battery (94). The clutch motor 30 including the inner rotor 34 coupled to the motor 2 is operated as an electric motor for rotating the crankshaft 56. Since a torque in the direction of accelerating the rotation acts on the crankshaft 56, the rotation speed of the engine 50 quickly reaches the target rotation speed. After that, the torque output from the clutch motor 30 is made equal to the target torque of the engine 50 so as to act as the load torque of the engine 50, thereby outputting the torque output from the engine 50 to the drive shaft 22. |
