abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for quantitatively determining a colored substance that can obtain a more accurate quantitative result than a conventional method for quantitatively determining a colored substance. SOLUTION: Light having a predetermined spectral distribution is irradiated from a light source 11 onto a test paper 21 (solid sample) containing a color object to be quantified, and the chromaticity of the reflected light from the test paper 21 is measured. The coordinates and the light quantity are measured by the tristimulus value measuring device 12, and the measured chromaticity coordinates and the light quantity are measured in advance, and the chromaticity coordinates and the chromaticity of the solid matter of the solid sample not containing the color matter which are measured in advance. Based on the coordinates and the chromaticity coordinates of the light output from the light source 11, the light amount of the reflected light component having the same chromaticity coordinates as the color object included in the reflected light from the test paper 21 is calculated, and based on the calculated light amount , The content of the coloring matter is determined.
