abstract (57) [Problem] To quickly discharge steam in a pump for pressurizing a fluid in a tank using steam. SOLUTION: The pump tank has check valves 32 and 34 for flowing the liquid only in the positive discharge direction. The suction valve 62 and the first exhaust pressure valve 64 are controlled by a switching mechanism such as a float 48 having a snap operation toggle 46. The valve body 68 of the auxiliary pressure relief valve 66 opens at a pressure lower than the discharge pressure, thereby venting the tank more quickly and helping to discharge any additional vapor generated by the boiling of the liquid, such as water.
