titleOfInvention Water intake prevention structure for the intake system of a boat propulsion system
abstract (57) [Problem] To improve the engine performance and prevent the water in the intake box from flowing into the internal combustion engine during the restoration after the capsize of the boat, thereby preventing the engine performance from deteriorating. Moreover, these are achieved with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An intake guide member 51 having an intake passage 54 for communicating the outside of the internal combustion engine 13 with the inside is provided. An intake box 65 that covers the upstream end of the intake passage 54 is provided. An intake port 72 is formed in the intake box 65. When the internal combustion engine 13 is driven, air 74 outside the intake box 65 is sucked into the internal combustion engine 13 through the intake port 72 and the intake passage 54 sequentially. An air horn 78 whose one end 79 opens like a trumpet is provided in the intake box 65, and the other end 80 of the air horn 78 is connected to an upstream end of the intake guide member 51. One end 79 of the air horn 78 is opened upward.
