(57) [Problem] To provide a method for analyzing the density distribution of a functional glutamate receptor. SOLUTION: An agonist whose active site has been inactivated by a protecting group is administered to a gap between nerve cells, irradiated with laser light, and the agonist is activated. The calcium ions flowing into the cells are quantified based on the fluorescence of the calcium ion detection dye by introducing a calcium ion detection dye into the cells, and the functional glutamate receptor in the microregion irradiated with the laser light is quantified.
