titleOfInvention | Method for producing polycarbonate |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To reduce the total hydrolyzable chlorine content, sodium ion content and iron ion content contained in an aromatic organic dihydroxy compound and a carbonic acid diester used as raw materials to a specific value or less. Therefore, a polycarbonate excellent in color tone, heat resistance, water resistance and boiling water resistance without being colored yellow or the like can be obtained. SOLUTION: In producing a polycarbonate by melt-polycondensing an aromatic organic dihydric compound and a carbonic acid diester, (b) an alkali metal compound or an alkaline earth metal compound is used as a catalyst with the aromatic organic dihydric compound. 1 It is used in an amount of 1 × 10 −8 to 1 × 10 −4 mol per mol, and the total content of hydrolyzable chlorine in the above monomer is 0.5 ppm or less, and the content of sodium ion is 0.1 ppm. Hereinafter, an aromatic organic dihydroxy group compound and a carbonic acid diester having an iron ion content of 0.1 ppm or less are used. |
