abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a silver halide photographic material excellent in abrasion resistance and scratch resistance. A photographic element comprising a support, at least one photosensitive layer and a non-photosensitive protective layer, wherein the non-photosensitive protective layer comprises a UV light absorbing dye, a high boiling organic solvent and a hydrophilic A UV light absorbing layer closer to the support, containing a reactive binder, and a processing residual matting agent, and modifying at least one carboxylic acid moiety in the gelatin to a polyamide monoamide. A photographic element comprising an outermost protective layer containing a modified gelatin having at least one additional amine group introduced therein. |
