titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal microcapsule, liquid crystal display recording material, thermoreversible display recording medium, and image recording method |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a liquid crystal microcapsule excellent in light scattering property (white turbidity), suitable for a liquid crystal display recording material, and capable of easily controlling a light scattering state by a free combination of materials. Provided is a liquid crystal display recording material or the like which has a high contrast with a part and can display and record a clear image. SOLUTION: This is a liquid crystal microcapsule having a core material mainly composed of a polymer liquid crystal and an outer shell mainly composed of a resin and covering the surface of the core material. In this liquid crystal microcapsule, an embodiment in which the outer shell has irregularities on its surface is preferable. An embodiment in which the polymer liquid crystal is a copolymer of a liquid crystal monomer and a non-liquid crystal monomer is preferable. Further, the present invention is a liquid crystal display recording material in which the liquid crystal microcapsules are dispersed in a resin different from the resin in the outer shell of the liquid crystal microcapsules. |
