titleOfInvention Nuclear camera equipment
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the disadvantages of a conventional nuclear camera device having two or more radiation detector heads. SOLUTION: Two or more radiation detector heads are mounted on the gantry opposite each other so as to be rotatable around a patient. The transmission radiation source assembly is mounted in front of at least one detector. The source assembly has a radiation attenuating housing 110, a lead bronze nuclide source holder 114, and a radionuclide source. The radionuclide source is held in a longitudinal groove of the nuclide source holder. Nuclide source holder in open position, Rotated to closed and access positions. The penetrating radiation emitted by the source assembly traverses the examination area, is attenuated by the patient, and is detected by the opposite detector. The gamma camera device has a filter that selectively attenuates transmitted radiation based on the attenuation profile of the object.
