abstract | (57) [Summary]nDisclosed are methods of screening for a genetic predisposition to anticholinesterase exposure. The method involves obtaining a peripheral blood sample, and then analyzing serum from the blood sample for BuChE levels and inhibitor-sensitivity. Peripheral white blood cell DNA from blood samples is also screened for the presence of the BuChE allele, thus identifying patients with a genetic predisposition to anticholinesterase exposure. |
